EXPLORING OREGON

While Savannah was visiting Oregon for 9 days, I took her all around to see the beautiful Pacific Northwest where she was memorized by the amount of green and trees we have! It cracked me up when she said she had never seen a log truck in real life or a tree taller than a Christmas tree. She's from Texas where they don't have hardly any green!

Smith Rock in Bend, OR

In Bend, OR we arrived later in the evening and our hotel reservation got booked so we had to upgrade to a triple suite, then poor Savannah actually had to go to the ER for some medicine because she had a horrible tooth ache! We got to see the beautiful Smith Rock in the morning though and she got to see the beauty of the scenery there.

Last time Savannah visited I got her hooked on Cafe Yumm! So obviously we had to make a trip there and now I have to mail her bottles of the Yumm Sauce so she can enjoy them in Texas.

Next we decided to spend the day in Salem, OR the capital of Oregon and took McKenzie to the State Fair! It was extremely hot but we made the best of it. Camille wasn't with us for the majority of her trip since she had 2 birthday parties to attend down in Gold Beach with my grandma, wish I was that popular at 3!

Next was a very special and hard day for me, September 1st. My beautiful best friend Korinne's birthday who passed away earlier this year in January. My daughter McKenzie Korinne Traeger was named after her and Kori was actually one of the first people to know that I was pregnant with both her, and Camille 4 years ago. For Kori's birthday her mom wanted to spread her ashes on the beach where she loved to be so we took a trip to Florence, Oregon. Love you always Korinne Frier I hope you're watching over my girls and I and having a blast up there where you're no longer in pain.

Next stop, Sweet Cheeks on Fifth in Eugene, OR. One of my favorite wineries! I took Savannah to the Sweet Cheeks actual winery last time she was here and McKenzie was still in my belly, this time I got to enjoy it with her.

I had worked all day so enjoying a nice evening at the winery was extremely nice! Here Savannah is trying their 2015 Merlot. We also tried some of their wine infused chocolate that they brought out to us as a complimentary. I was not a fan..Savannah had a nice laugh over my facial expressions, I'm not much of a sweets person.

For Savannah's last day, we spent the afternoon exploring the beauty of Portland, OR. We hiked Bridal Veil Falls first, Multnomah Falls, Wahkeena Falls then Latourell Falls! All of them are super short hikes that we did holding McKenzie.
