If you did not know already, I did get lip fillers and love them!
Where: Brighter Smiles located in Eugene by Heidi
Recommend: YES!
Price point: $500-$700 (varies by place & specials they may have)
Lasts: 6-9 months
The Process:
After filling out paperwork, I was given a numbing cream for my lips that stayed on for about 20-30 min to completely activate, I drooled a lot so don't be embarrassed when you do if you want to get this done. Then it was go time! I have severe anxiety and was nervous so I was given an ice pack for my chest as a distraction and as soon as the needling began, I was relieved because I truly felt no pain. I kept my eyes shut the entire time because you do bleed, and before I knew it, she was all done!
After Care:
Ice packs will be your best friend! Along with lip ointment to keep them from getting chapped I always use Vaseline. You'll feel big balls of the filler in your lips that will go away, and you'll want to massage them out as often as possible, the first 2 days was very difficult to do this as they were pretty sore once the numbing cream wore off. Worst 2 days are the first 2 days pain-wise, after that I had no pain. They do get scary swollen, but it goes down so don't worry! Takes about 2-4 week for it all to settle down.
